When services are performed in locations that limit visibility, sanitation, or environmental control, NitFreeCO cannot reliably verify treatment conditions or outcomes, and therefore the guarantee cannot be upheld.

Unfortunately, not every infestation is identified right away, and not every family chooses or is able to complete treatment promptly. As a result, a child who has been successfully treated may come into contact with another child who is still carrying live lice and become re-exposed.

Re-exposure does not necessarily indicate that a treatment failed. In many cases, it means that a child encountered a new source of lice after treatment was completed. This is especially common during active outbreaks within classrooms, schools, daycare programs, summer camps, sports activities, and large family gatherings.
